Hope...Miracle!

I created this Pink and Brown layout.  As I do not have the Pink Journey cartridge, I created a similar layout using Home Decor.  You could easily use this layout for a breast cancer survivor or any type of illness.  I used it for my darling daughter and I will also make one for my darling son.  We went through a lot of fertility treatments and years of wanting these little miracles.  First we hoped and prayed for a miracle.  Thankfully we received our little miracles.

The flowers match perfectly with the butterfly that I created on the Imagine.  I created a rose out of satin ribbon and used it as the dot over the 'i' in miracle.  The flowers and the leaves were hand inked to match the butterfly.  I also added some glitter to the flowers and they are even still wet in the photo.  They are a little glossy but, as they dry it will add a beautiful glisten.  The centers are glittered brads.  I used some beautiful gems to bling the scalloped and flourished frame that I matted my daughter's photo.  She is even blinged out in her beautiful dress.  Each piece has beautiful flourishes that give it a very graceful feel.

I cut out the shadow feature in a rich brown.  On the frame, I used the hide contour feature on the Gypsy and even flipped and rotated the image on the mat.  So, I used the Imagine, Gypsy and the Expression on this layout.  I love to use my 12"x24" mat and on this layout I placed the shadow cuts on one side and the intricate cuts on the other side of the 12"x24" mat.  This looks so beautiful in person in the pale pink and brown.  I will do another one in chocolate and blue for my son.

You should see this in person!  It is so beautiful and the rose has such beautiful folds and dimension.
I have a few layouts that I have saved in my Gypsy and hope to someday have a pink expression to make them with the Pink Journey solution cartridge.  However, I do love how this turned out and has a similar flair and feel.  This also reminds me that I need to be there for my little ones!  This includes taking care of myself, doing my monthly exams and scheduling my mamogram!  Sadly, my cousin is going through breast cancer and I HOPE they find a cure!

Be sure to do your monthly self exams and call your doctor regarding your mamo!  Also, enter for your chance to win the Pink ATG!  Click here for details!

Check back tomorrow for some more projects!
