Stretching into Spring!

Hey Ladies- Welcome back to Sweet Sassy Diva's weekly challenge for us DT ladies! This week we were all asked to make a Spring card using the "Stretch Your Imagination" cartridge.
Recipe:
Imagine More Cards (for colors and patterns)
Stretch Your Imagination
2-Way Glue Pen
Stickles (Lime Green and Star Dust)
Glossy Accents
Liquid Pearls (Petal Pink)
White Card stock

I must admit that I have been going a little crazy with the Glossy Accents, but I LOVE it!
I started by cutting the entire card at 6 inches while using this soft pink pattern from the Imagine cartridge. I then cut the layers for the "spring", "flower pedals" and "leaves" at 4 inches. It all fit perfectly over the initial card shape, except the "S" for what ever reason the "S" was the only letter not to fit! But that is what I love about my Cricut, I am always trying to figure out something new!
Then came all the fun stuff! I added the "star dust" stickles to the word "spring", the "lime green" for the leaves, Glossy Accents for the tulip petals and finally I "made" a pearl boarder with the "Liquid Pearls". I just recently found a new trick for this If you flick the bottom of your paper it will help you lose the point that "Liquid Pearls" sometimes gives, it makes so much sense I felt kinda funny when the lady told me about it!

Cute Boots are Essential!

While many people's grass is turning green and flowers are growing we are still looking out the window to snow and brown trees! One thing I love about the spring time around here is when the trees start budding all at once and you see a green haze in the trees along the road side. We also have 5 seasons here. Summer, fall, winter break-up and spring. Break-up is a time when the snow melts and the ice breaks up on the rivers and everything is a sloppy, wet, muddy mess!! The dogs feet are muddy. Your feet are muddy. The cars are muddy. Everything is m-u-d-d-y muddy! So I can say spring is almost here, but not yet. We have to go through break-up first. The great thing about the muddy mess is cute mud boots! I myself own a super cute pair of mud boots that I just love wearing during break-up. It makes all the mess so much easier to handle when you are wearing cute boots :D :D So I was having a really hard time getting in the spring spirit for this challenge but, I did it.
We were asked to use the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge and pick an image on pages 62-69. I tried really hard to but just was not feeling inspired from those pages so, I still stuck with the cartridge just picked a diff image.
I laid it all out on my Gypsy and then onto my mat and cut them out.

Layered up my card

Assembled my layered pieces for my card (the sky and grass were done with green and blue ink)
Started to glue them all together

And added a little pink glitter to the mix!

Cute as a Bug!

This week for the Sweet Sassy Diva DT Challenge I was asked to pick the challenge. I decided that the challenge should be to use Stretch Your Imagination cartridge and pastel colors. But the real challenge was to use any of the Spring Images on pages 62- 69.
So I decided to use the caterpilar on page 66. Here is the card that I made:
I used Pink,  yellow, green and olive green cardstock. The patterned paper is from K & Co. and then the stamps are Buggy Puns by My Pink Stamper.
Here is how I set the Gypsy up and the paper on the mat.

Imagine Halloween Layout!

Imagine Halloween Layout and Introducing...

Jasmine!  My name is Jasmine Wilmany. I am a stay at home mom with two girls. My husband travels a lot for his job, so I use that time to craft the night away! My favorite hobby is painting flowers on canvas with oil paints. I also love paper piecing and journaling. Journaling is like a cross between a diary and a scrapbook and it feels good to preserve moments in my life. I started using Photoshop sixteen years ago and haven't stopped since. I use it almost everyday. I haven't made much time for them, but I also play piano and guitar. Crafting is such a wonderful way to bring out the happiness of life and sharing it with others.

Recipe:

Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge: Haunted House

Disney Happily Ever After Cartridge: Frame for Photo
Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge: Trees
Designer Calendar Cartridge: Halloween title
Cricut Imagine
Patterned Paper
Photoshop

I used the Cricut Imagine on the cut mode and cut out the pieces using patterned paper.  You could also do this using your cricut if you do not have the Imagine.  Then, I used a spooky font for the quick journaling and found a spiderweb image on the internet to use as the background in Photoshop.

Be sure to do your monthly self exams and call your doctor regarding your mamo!  Also, enter for your chance to win the Pink ATG!  Click here for details!
