Designs on Cloud 9

I used the Cricut Expression 2 Anniversary Edition to create some fall cards with the Crafty Stack by DCWV.

The nice feature of the anniversary edition is that there are 4 preloaded cartridges of which two are limited to this machine.

I am using the Cricut Essentials cartridge which I chose from the drop down menu.

From the next screen, you see the digital overlay. I selected the flower in the second row and fifth icon over from the bottom left.

Then select the shift/lock button for the detailed image.

Again as you see below it is in the same position on the keyboard as the last image.

To add spacing between your image selections, you can use the space icon as you see in the picture below.

If you would like the image to move to the next line, you can use the button to the right. It is like a return on a typewriter or computer keyboard.

After you have all your characters and spacing selected, press the house button (home) shown below.

As you can see below, I used the spacing key between the two detailed flowers and returns to bring the bigger outlined flowers to the third quadrant.  It is really nice to see the spaced images on the screen of the E2.  You can then see where they will cut on your mat.   I cut them out at 3".

I chose a patterned paper from the stack and coordinating solid cardstock.  Then, I placed the paper in the coordinating quadrants on the mat.

Here are a few cards that I used the flower cuts above.

Freedom Isn't Free!

Hi Everyone,
It's Becka with CreationswithBecka here. Hope you all had a fabulous 4th of July weekend! Mine was awesome. We went to the waterpark, dinner and the fireworks. The kids had a wonderful day and were super tired from too much fun!
So this week for Sweet Sassy Diva's Design team challenge, we were asked to make a project using stars and no stripes.
I made this 4th of July card.
To make this card you will need the following:
Blue and red cardstock
Blue star and Red star patterned paper
Make A2 size card out of the blue card stock
Cricust Essentals for the the stars- which were layered on the Gypsy
Pop-dots
Freedom Isn't Free- Stamp set by K.Andrew
Thanks for stopping by today.

Peppermint Cricut Expression

Have you picked up the latest in the line of the Cricut Expressions?

She comes with Jasmine, doodlecharms and new cartridges: cricut font and cricut essentials.

The Walmart black Friday expression comes with the lite cartridge playtime and cricut font. So there are three new exclusive carts.

I would like the cricut essentials and would trade for it if anyone is interested let me know.

I just do not know about adding another cricut baby to my household.

So, it seems that Plantin Schoolbook and Accent Essentials has made way for cricut font and cricut essentials.

Will you be adding one of the new colors from Black Friday or this new Peppermint Cricut to your home?
