Think PINK Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the Think Pink Blog Hop!   You have from Saturday, October 9th through Monday, October 11th to enjoy the hop!  A great thank you to Karel for organizing this blog hop!  I am honored to be a part of it.  You should have just come from The Cricut Diaries' blog. Wasn't it wonderful?  As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, please be sure to do your self checks and consult with your doctor regarding when you should schedule your mamogram.

I made a card using the Cricut Imagine machine.

I used the print and cut feature for the Butterfly Kisses Image and used the layers feature.  The pop dots add dimension and they look like they might just fly off the card to give you some kisses.

You can purchase a kit to make these cards in my store or send me an email.

Now for the blog candy.......
To win the $25 gift certificate that Sarah at Pink by Design Store so graciously donated, all you have to do is complete the hop and leave a comment on every blog.  On Tuesday,  utilizing random.org, a blog number, and then a comment number for that blog will be chosen.  The winner will be notified by a posting on One By One The Flamingos Are Stealing My Sanity, by a posting on Karel's Facebook and Twitter Accounts,  and every effort will be made to personally contact the winner.  Be sure to check out Sarah's store.

Please follow my blog and leave a comment to be entered into the drawing.  I moderate the comments so they will be posted after they are approved.  You will not see it right away so, please do not double post.  One comment entry per blog please.

I am giving away a copy of Print Artist Express.  You can see the manufacturer website at  http://www.novadevelopment.com/.  I will draw from those following my blog and leaving a comment below.

After me, you should go to Scrappin’ Sista, to see the great PINK Project she is featuring!  Here is the list of the wonderful members of the Think Pink Blog Hop:

World Card Making Day!

As yesterday was World Card Making Day, I am sharing the following card.

I cut the owl out and layered his wings with pop dots.  He is sending 'Happy Anniversary' wishes along the way!

You can see the embossed and inked design behind him.  Also, the blue ink, ribbon and paper behind him coordinate so well with his gorgeous blue eyes.  It is difficult to see in the photo but, the card is also misted giving it a beautiful shimmer.

Please share a card that you made recently by linking it below. If you do not have the Imagine yet, don't worry because you can share a card that you made using your Cricut! I would love to see what cards you made to celebrate World Card Making Day!

Owl Grown Up!

I am honored to be part of this Imagine-nation blog hop!  I chose to make a layout using the Cricut Imagine More cartridge in honor of my darling son.  He lost his first tooth and 'Owl Grown Up" seemed fitting.  Also, my darling daughter is working on walking and growing her baby teeth.  They sure are trying to be Owl Grown Up!

I chose the Owl Grown Up on page 6 and selected to print and cut as layers.  Instead of placing the Owl in the center, I placed him flying above.  I also pop dotted his wings for dimension.

I added an additional Owl and changed the size to place him at the lower corner of the frame. I placed the mat where I will place a picture of my son and his new toothless grin.

I inked the edges in a dark brown ink to give it a bit more pop. The frame was cut from page 22.  I selected the option to cut in layers and deleted all images except the square frame.  Then, I chose the patterned paper on page 42 to flood fill the square frame.

These were layered and pop dotted on the flag mat from page 29 which I cut to fit the 12x12 page.  To complete the layout, it was placed on a dark brown patterned paper to bring out the dark brown in the layout.  An added knotted ribbon in a beautiful golden yellow adds the right touch.

Recipe:

white and dark brown 12x12 cardstock
carmel cardstock
golden yellow ribbon
pop dots
glue dots
adhesive
dark brown ink

Be sure to check out all the other Imagine information, video, projects and such in my archives.  I have a lot of information posted in July from CHA as well as the middle of September.

Also, here is another layout I made using the Imagine More cartridge called 'Peekaboo'!  For more details click here!
