Owl Grown Up!

I am honored to be part of this Imagine-nation blog hop!  I chose to make a layout using the Cricut Imagine More cartridge in honor of my darling son.  He lost his first tooth and 'Owl Grown Up" seemed fitting.  Also, my darling daughter is working on walking and growing her baby teeth.  They sure are trying to be Owl Grown Up!

I chose the Owl Grown Up on page 6 and selected to print and cut as layers.  Instead of placing the Owl in the center, I placed him flying above.  I also pop dotted his wings for dimension.

I added an additional Owl and changed the size to place him at the lower corner of the frame. I placed the mat where I will place a picture of my son and his new toothless grin.

I inked the edges in a dark brown ink to give it a bit more pop. The frame was cut from page 22.  I selected the option to cut in layers and deleted all images except the square frame.  Then, I chose the patterned paper on page 42 to flood fill the square frame.

These were layered and pop dotted on the flag mat from page 29 which I cut to fit the 12x12 page.  To complete the layout, it was placed on a dark brown patterned paper to bring out the dark brown in the layout.  An added knotted ribbon in a beautiful golden yellow adds the right touch.

Recipe:

white and dark brown 12x12 cardstock
carmel cardstock
golden yellow ribbon
pop dots
glue dots
adhesive
dark brown ink

Be sure to check out all the other Imagine information, video, projects and such in my archives.  I have a lot of information posted in July from CHA as well as the middle of September.

Also, here is another layout I made using the Imagine More cartridge called 'Peekaboo'!  For more details click here!
